Official match programme from the Blackpool Select XI v Liverpool mid-season friendly match played at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday 1st February 1983. The match was played to raise funds for the dependants of those who died in the Blackpool Sea Tragedy the previous month. The Blackpool Select XI contained players from the home club with notable players from other clubs bolstering their team including Danny McGrain and Tommy Burns (both Celtic and Scotland), Gary Stevens and Peter Reid (both Everton), David Cross (Manchester City) and Gerry Armstrong (Watford and Northern Ireland). Liverpool sent a full strength squad for the match. The 4-page programme is in near mint condition for its 37 years. (See ‘Condition Description’ above for full details).
