166 pages plus covers, a detailed account of the momentous 1891/92 season for Everton Football Club, amply illustrated with sketches and pictures. Everton were reigning Football League Champions, but played much of the season under the threat of eviction from their Anfield ground from landlord John Houlding, who demanded a massive rent increase. As all Evertonians who know their history will be aware, at the end of the season, Everton left Anfield and built a new ground at Goodison Road and Houlding was left to set up a new club at Anfield.
The book tells the story of the season with reference to press reports and club materials and there is a full statistical breakdown of each game with a seasonal summary.
